Does not load DVD in up right position

The Bottom Line:
My main reason for buying the DVD player was to use behind a car seat. Since this is not working for me, I will look for another brand/model.
This 10" DVD player has a really nice design and easy-to-use functions. It works great when the player is laid down flat.
However, when I put the player in its car bag and attach it behind a car seat, the player could not load the DVD (waited for 5 minutes and finally gave up. When I then laid the player down flat, it immediately loaded the DVD). I tried doing the same thing by holding the DVD upright, again it had trouble loading up the DVD. (To avoid any DVD disk issues, I tried it with 3 DVDs, one of which was a brand new DVD.)
I exchanged the player with another unit, again, the new unit had the same problem. When I finally called the Polaroid service hotline, I was told the unit I had was not a good unit and I should exchange it. I was also told that there was no known problem with the player reading in upright position. (It seems a little odd that 2 different units had the same issue.)
If you are not planning to use the player attached behind a car seat, I think it is a very good player with a nice display. If you are planning to use it attached to a car seat, I hope you have better luck with it than I had.
