Polaroid PDM-2727 7 in. Car DVD Player

This DVD player was purchased in August of 2007. We purchased it for our son, who is now 19 months old. We have used it on a family vacation, along with a few other longer trips, and it has been a great way to occupy the baby for the long periods of time that we were in the car. The DVD player was wonderful while it lasted (until December 18, 2007). It was working great for the few months that we had it. The sound quality and picture were excellent. All of a sudden, literally, the DVD player stopped reading DVDs. In the car, we tried several DVDs and the player wouldn't read any of them. We also tried plugging the DVD player into a different source using the AC adaptor in a normal outlet in the house. Still, it didn't work. We thought it maybe didn't work because it was too cold, but after bringing it in the house for a while and letting it warm . Then we tried to plug it in and use it, and the DVD player still wouldn't read any of the DVDs that we put in it. Of course, our warranty has already expired. I would not recommend purchasing this DVD player - save your money ($150) and a lot of frustration.
