Polaroid PDM-2737 7 in. Portable DVD Player

I purchased this strictly for entertainment for our kids while on a long road trip. We probably used it 10 times when it began to not play the disc and displayed "Bad Disc" when there was nothing wrong with the disc. I returned the product to Polaroid and they sent me a brand new set. This one worked maybe a total of 5 times until I began getting the same onscreen message, "Bad Disc." Upon calling Polaroid, I was told that it's out of the 90 day warranty, but I could pay another $85 for a new one. Needless to say, I'd rather not go through the trouble and money to have it not work in a week. I'm buying a different one.
