Polaroid PDM-2737 7 in. Portable DVD Player

I bought this in Savannah GA, it was left in extreme heat during the summer months and still worked. I never had trouble with either screen until the door on the DVD player broke. Then bad disk came up on screen. If you take the broken cover off it tells you Open Disk and you cannot use it. If you put the screen on your lap, flat, the DVDs still play flawlessly but doesn't work well on the top bunk foot board. The screen works perfectly. If it had input instead of output only on the DVD side I'd use it with a gaming console. It only has output.

The screen that has no DVD is hooked up in my kids room on the bottom bunk. Luckily it has input rather than output only. It's hooked into an RF adapter and they play game cube on it and watch another TV for DVDs. I'm going to call Polaroid in the morning (as they apparently have no email support) in hopes they'll be able to help me fix the old model. I hate to have to find another. I've had this for 2 years now and only the DVD side died after a year of use. My, then, 5 yr old son worked it easily and had no problem hearing the volume.
