Excellent DVD player
Pros
Excellent screen and sound, but most of all excellent price.
Cons
Lack of battery, but we found out that we really never need it after all.
Recommended it?
Yes
We are very satisfied with the 2717 DVD. We enjoy the dual screen and it sounds. We were really surprise how silent it is. Also, it is so easy to set it up on the car. We agree with the rest of the reviewer, that it would have been nice that it could have provided its own battery. One thing that we found out is that we really never used the DVD out side of the car. You can always buy a cheap power supply from Radio Shack.
One thing that we experience after three week of having purchased the DVD was the 'Bad Disc' error message. After trying to figure out what the problem was (cleaning the DVD disk or cleaning the laser light), we called the customer support line and this is what they told us to do.
Connect the DVD player and while it is off, press for 5-10 seconds the 'A-B' button. This will help clear the 'Bad Disc' memory.
We try this and we got out DVD player to work like new again. We had experience this issue only twice since we bought the DVD player almost 10 months ago.
Enjoy.
