Great player... if it only lasted.

We have gone through two of these units. We really liked the features; dual screens, straps to attach to headrests in the car, input/output jacks, etc. It would be nice to have a battery, but one is not included. No big deal. It's super-easy to change the DVD while the unit is installed in the car; the screen flips down to access the disk. We were really really pleased with the unit.
Until it died.
Five weeks after we bought it, the player croaked. It powered up, but no matter what disk was in it, the message displayed on the screen was, "bad disk", and the unit would not play. I returned it and exchanged for the same model. That one lasted eight days before it died. Same as before... "bad disk". The same disk would play in other DVD players.... I guess the laser was malfunctioning or something. So I exchanged the second one for another brand.
In summary, the features are great, the ease of use is fabulous, and the dual screens are nice. But longevity is not a strong suit for this model.
