We bought the 2717 at circuit city for $100 on sale for a cranky child with 90 minutes left in our trip.Plugged it in after 10 minutes of getting familiar with it and were very pleased with the silence it created.Now we use it for any trip longer than 20 minutes.Only use the one screen for now so can't comment on the 2nd display. After looking at the manual realized we could get a battery, didn't expect one for the pennies we paid for it so that seemed like a bonus.After looking on the internet I was concerned with all the negative comments about NO BATTERY. A quick call to Emerson who transfered me to Polaroid.com got me the battery I needed for 60 bucks from customer service.Really don't know what all the whining comments about the external battery were for ,for the price with two screens and the quality service from polaroid I'm quite satisfied.
