I was going to buy this camera myself, but ended up getting it as a gift for my birthday. About $84 was paid for it. It's a great deal for $84- I've had it for almost 2 years now. The picture quality is great!... if you can manage to keep the settings right. Sometimes the settings would change unbeknownst to me without me touching anything. It is really cool though that you are able to put effects on the pictures in-shooting or before you take the picture. That's probably my favorite feature. The one thing that makes me THEE most upset is that you canNOT remove the timestamp from the picture unless you install the software and change the option from the computer. Sometimes I want the timestamp on; sometimes I don't. I would rather not ever have one than to have it always there. I have a Mac computer and the software is not compatible with my laptop. I was upset to find that out AFTER I got the camera. So now if I want to take professional looking pictures, or even just serious/ emotional/ artistic pictures, I have to find a way to crop out a GOOD portion of the picture because of the time stamp which is not a separate file or label, but basically engraved into the image itself as if it's in the picture. The last thing is that lately, starting a few months ago, no matter what I do, when I turn the camera on, the lens cover opens verrrrrry slowly. I often have to "help" it open with my fingers and risk dirtying/ scratching the lens. It used to just snap right open after the power was turned on, but for some reason, it doesn't anymore- there's nothing sticky on it, but you might think there would be by the way it opens.
