The Bottom Line:
Unless you stole the money you used to purchase this camera, the real question is: why?
Polaroid photography was invented by Dr. Edwin Land. Dr. Land was the American inventor and physicist who created a revolution - instant photography. The first Polaroid camera was sold to the public in November, 1948.
Dr. Land, look at what they've done to your camera!
Holy smokes! I don't mean to hate, but there's nothing to love here. So whats left?
The particulars:
- I used this camera with just the internal memory as well as a very fast SD card.
- I used the very same SD card successfully in the factory refurbed Panasonic Lumix 5.0 Megapixel w/image stabilization I picked up brand spanking new on eBay with a deluxe case, a 4-pack of 1800mAh rechargeable batteries and the accompanying charger for the same price as this waste of plastic and glass, after taking it back for a full refund.
- A seemingly awesome camera at a fantastic price for the features.
- In reality, a handful of lost opportunity.
- The most unforgivable feature: the shutter goes off a full second after you press the trigger button! I used this camera at both my son's high school graduation and firemens school graduation. Every time I tried to take a shot of Mike walking onto or off the stage, etc., the picture was a blurred photo of the person behind him!
The second most unforgivable feature: a child could literally be conceived in the space of time it takes this camera to recover from the last botched photo and when it is ready to disappoint you afresh.
The third most unforgivable feature: I put a brand spanking new set of alkaline batteries in the camera - yesyesyes - I know there are better battery options - and took exactly 9 seconds of video to test the unit. The batteries were drained to the point that the camera would turn on but not take any further photos or video without replacing the batteries.
The fourth most unforgivable feature: If you make the mistake of taking a static (non-moving) photo first, you will get a strikingly high quality photo, leading you to believe that you're not an idiot and you did make a good choice in digital cameras.
The fifth most unforgivable feature: None of the settings, no matter how many times you cycle through them and use differing combinations will result in significantly lower battery consumption or cycle time.
