Problems with dark pictures!

Everyday Use
I owned two of these cameras and ended up selling both of them on Craigslist. I thought they might make good cameras to keep in my purse, but the pictures were too dark, even with the flash, to be used for my blog. I think the design placement of the flash is the main problem, causing dark spots, ,shadows, and over all poor quality pictures.
