Good camera at a good price

Pros Ease of use, great picture quality
Cons Uses up batteries quickly. Requires memory card to take more than 5 pictures.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I think this is a good camera at a good price. If you're looking for a camera that easy to use and takes great pictures, I would recommend it.
I've had this camera for about a month, and have enjoyed using it. I bought this camera to be used to take pictures of the family, and wanted to replace my other digital camera..Sony Mavica with only 2mp...poor picture quality. Online opinions of this camera are lacking, so the next best thing to do is go to the store and try them out, which is what I did. This camera was purchased at Walmart, where all their digital cameras are on display. I picked up each one and tried them out prior to my purchase. This is a must if your want to buy a digital camera. Also ask the people that work in the photo lab. They are usually very knowledgable.

You must prepare yourself that this camera will only take up to 5 pictures from its internal memory. I took my camera out for the first time to use and was shocked when it said "memory full", and I had only taken 5 pictures. (By the way, they don't give you a written manual, you get a disc with the camera specs in Adobe). That was just something I overlooked, but must understand because at 8 megapixels, it uses up alot of memory. Of course you can change the mexapixels on this camera, so you are allowed more memory and thus more pictures.

Picture quality is a must, and this camera does deliver. It was easy to connect the camera to my computer and transfer the pics as well as send them to a local photo lab to have printed. Pics were very clear with only a bit of red eye (which can be corrected by the touch of a button on the camera).

I have not used the video aspects of this camera, so I cannot comment on that.

I did read the other review of this camera where they stated the camera stopped working with the lens still out. I had this similar problem one time, but I believe it was the low battery that caused this. After replacing the batteries with rechargables, it never happened again.

Another MUST when you buy this camera is to also purchase rechargable batteries and a charger. Another surprise with its FIRST use is that the batteries ran out. Also if you have an extra $50 lying around, I would suggest buying a 1GB sd card for this camera. More memory, more pictures.

UPDATE: Bought a 1GB SD card (TOSHIBA brand) and it gives you 223 pictures!
