The Bottom Line:
Good buy for under $100.
Bought this at Walgreens for $99 with an additional $20 mail-in rebate for a final cost of $79. For that money, this camera does a very reasonable job. It's small, looks great, stores nicely in a shirt pocket, and comes bundled with a good case/skin, cables, and software. I really like the simplicity of use as this camera is for my 9 year old daughter. Menus are straight forward and easily navigated. The iZone 300 takes good pictures if you take your time, hold the camera as still as possible, make sure the subject has adequate lighting, and the camera settings are what you what. This is not a camera for taking "action shot" stills of a moving subject, but it does have video capability. The iZone 300 takes videos in up to 640x480 resolution and the length is only limited by the size of the memory. The SD card slot allows for increased memory capability and for quick download of pictures/videos to a computer. The internal rechargeable battery can be charged via the docking station or directly from the computer's USB port. There is also an optional AC adapter that you can recharge directly from any wall plug. Battery life seems about average for this type battery. BOTTOM LINE: For an inexpensive, simple point and shoot camera without all the costly "bells and whistles", this camera is a good buy for under $100. Just don't expect more from it than it was designed to do!
