iSonic an expensive doorstop

Cons
Breaks down and becomes a doorstop

No
The Bottom Line:
Don't go near this radio. It is poorly made and will not last. You can do better
This was to be a replacement for a full size rack system which I wanted to get rid of to save space. The idea of being able to carry great sound from room to room was very appealing. I read reviews and settled on this over the Bose. I bought this unit after comparing it to some other radios. The features like HD radio, the possibility of using XM and being able to use it as a DVD player. When I first got my iSonic I loved its sound. The base was great and it filled the room. All was well. Picked up stations my other radios couldn't get. The controls had a slight learning curve which was great for me but my wife could never figure it out. What ever happened to being able to just turn a radio on and set the station to listen. But after a year the CD volume would not go above very low and it started losing time. Then last week, at about 18 months, the screen flickered and went off. Now when I plug it in all I get is a hum.... no screen, no useful product... just a doorstop.
Should have bought the Bose
