Great Sound and Quality

Pros Very accurate sound, quality construction.
Cons Tweeters seem a little harsh at high volume level.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  For the money these are some great sounding speakers.   Very pleased with the purchase.
Great sounding component speakers! I installed these in the front doors of my 2000 Toyota Tacoma extra cab. I mounted the crossovers in the kick panel and the tweeters are high on the door. Regarding the crossover mounting location I am glad I chose the kick panel. After installation I later wanted to change my tweeter setting from the factory 0 db level to the -6 db level to reduce the over powering of the woofer that my ears told me was going on. Since the crossover was in the kick panel I was able to do this in a few minutes. If it had been in the door it would have been a real pain. The kit comes with both flush and surface mounts for the tweeter. They were both of good quality. I chose the surface mount since the metal behind by door panel would have had to been cut out to use the flush mount. It still looks good surface mounted but I would have like the factory look of flush mounting.

The sound quality is great! The highs are crisp and rich and the woofers hit solid. I got the Dynamat speaker kit and the woofer sounds tight in a good way! The only complaint I have is that the tweeters seem to get harsh too quickly at higher volume levels. I realize that high volume and distortion do this, but I was hoping the distortion or harsh level would be a little later on the twist of the volume knob. I am running a Bazooka 65w per channel @ 4ohm amp. Perhaps if I had spent out a little more on the amp I may could get what I am after. Enough about the negatives. These are great sounding speakers and I don't think you can go wrong with them.
