The Bottom Line:
I'm trying to convince myself it's not too much for a computer. Two please.
It has adjustments for crossover frequency and bass amplification that let you go too far. It easily let me fill in the lows under my old ('87) flat membrane Panasonic boom box by twinning the stereo line and using the line level inputs. In fact, by raising the crossover I could cut the lowest (100Hz) equalizer band on the boom box. Puts more wow in WoW (World of Warcraft) for elemental encounters. Amplification setting could match everything the Panasonic RX-C53 could put out. Three times what's necessary for a computer station.
In the living room it supplemented four Bose 301s, with the crossover cut back to half, by running a single pair from the B speaker amp output to one speaker input on the Proficient. It's Auto setting does keep it dormant until it gets a noticeable signal. Starting in a very quiet cut and listening carefully you can hear when it joins the party.
32 - 200 Hz response is specified but the crossover cut off setting is not. Sounded like about 55 - 200 for minimum to maximum.
32 pounds of thumping fun.
And yes 120 watts will shake the walls. So it's a two or three room subwoofer. Told you it would go too far.
