Purchased an Insignia HTIB from best buy in 2006. First unit locked up (with one of my DVD's inside) within 3 months. Received another unit from Best Buy. The power supply popped and smoked after 18 months. Of course at this point, I'm on my own. Neither Best Buy nor Insignia wants to deal with me for customer satisfaction. Removed the power supply and noted that the soldered-in fuse had blown. Was thinking of replacing myself when I noticed that the printed circuit board behind a couple of capacitors and resistors was nearly black and charred. Thank god for the fuse or I likely would have had a fire. This thing was slowly cooking itself from day one. Very poor and dangerous electrical engineering by whoever specified the tolerances for this power supply.
