Audio inputs do not work (TV, VCR, game systems)

This is after all, touted by Best Buy as a 'great' product (kindof a Best Buy generic product). Think about the source!
I bought this product based on review and price.
I had to return the system I bought because the audio inputs did not work - there are only two audio inputs to boot. The store could not offer an exchange, so thankfully, I got my money back. I recently found out that I was not alone in this problem with this particular system. The system was worthless because the audio inputs (for TV, VCR, whatever) would not work.
The sound was a bit tinny, no matter what setting you put it on. The sub is really bad - sounds like a blown speaker in my old van. But the features were good. Perhaps better speaker wire would help.
If you are looking for a decent CD player, by all means, hop in. But don't expect this to work with your TV or game system audio output unless you are watching a DVD.
I'm going to keep shopping around for a decent system under $200. It just won't be this one, that's for sure.
