Disappointed

Pros It played well while it was working, with good picture and sound quality.
Cons The remote arrived rattling inside. The picture rolls up and down the screen.
Recommended it? No

I haven't used this very long - it was a gift in October.
Since it is my first DVD player, I don't know how to use
all the settings on the remote. It played a few movies for

Pros it turns on and plays somtimes and this is my second protron
Cons hangs up while playing,does not play burned dvds well at all or regular movies
Recommended it? No

I bought this product from shopko because it was a good deal. and i had to return it for another one in about 3 weeks and the second one lasted about 2-3 months and it froze every once in a while and did not play burned movie hardly at all. so bottom line better to spend more money for a better... Pros When working, it's ok but that is at most 80 days. Playing weekends. Not good.
Cons To expensive to waste hard earn money on for just 2 months of playing.
Recommended it? No

The product plays well for 2 months or so. But after that is start breaking up the pictures like the head is dirty. I try cleaning it using the Memorex DVD Lens Cleaner and it is now refusing it saying "Wrong Disk". The same Lens Cleaner it accepted before. The Warranty last 90 days and if you call... Cons Digitizing, skipping, 2-3 movies at a time max (play time) overheats quickly...etc

Well, If you want something that will only play 2-3 movies max at a time, sure... go ahead...get it... but if you are like me, housecleaning is an all day chore, my child is young and can't be outside alone, so what is the most available activity for her to do? Pros does all that is advertised. Displays photos very well. Easy to use.
Cons Nothing negative to say about this machine. I just hope it continues to work.
Recommended it? Yes

Bought this player last week to replace a dead player. It plays regular music CDs, as well as MP3 and WMA files placed in sub folders. Pros Amazing full featured DVD player for a startling low price
Cons Had to disable the angle feature to make ordinary play selection simple and transparent

BOUGHT THIS DVD PLAYER WITH THE INTENTION OF IT PLAYING BOTH PAL AND NTSC VIDEOS. ACCORDING TO THE MANUAL THAT CAME WITH IT IT SUPPORTS PAL AND NTSC. NOT TRUE AT ALL!!!
THE UNIT CAN BE ONLY ONE REGION EITHER PAL OR NTSC... NOT BOTH.

Wouldn't Play Music CDs

Pros Good picture, good sound, small footprint.
Cons UI a little querky and wouldn't play our music cds.
Recommended it? No

I liked the price $28.00 but it wouldn't do the simplest of things like playing music cds(which stated it did on the box and user manual). It kept on stating "no disc". It play dvds just fine. All other features that we used worked fine. Read full review »
