Pyle PDWR63 Main / Stereo Speaker

I recently purchased a set of Pyle PDWR63 outdoor speakers. I bought them to use on my deck that is attached to the rear of my house. I have a hot tub out there, so I wanted to be able to listen to CDs or my favorite station while in the tub. I am very pleased with the sound quality of the speakers. They sound very good with no distortion at high volume levels. They were purchased for a 16 x 16 deck. They are more than enough for that amount of space. I am pleased with the overall sound quality. I knew they would be fine for general background music, when I ordered them. I was pleased when I was able to turn the volume up and the speakers responded with a clear, loud, natural sound. The bass response is better that you would expect for a set of outdoor speakers. These Pyle speakers will even be enough for providing sound beyond my deck, for backyard gatherings. To sum it up, it would not matter if your back yard is large or small, these speakers would work great.
I fully tested these speakers in my backyard with several types of music.

It is now October 2004. I am very pleased with the performance of my new Pyle speakers. They provide enough distortion free sound to listen to at louder levels. I have found that they work better, mounted with a wall behind them and a little above the listening area.

June 2008 - Pyle speakers still work great. They have been subject to from weather extreme to another including a little ice, hurricane wind and rain and hot days. They are actually a very high quality speaker for the price. Unless you are willing to spend 8 to 10 times more, you will be hard pressed to find a better outdoor speaker. You will not regret your purchase.
