Pyle PLTVD158 Car DVD Player

I will have to say that I have been very impressed with the quality and appearance that this little unit carries. First off, It uses European and American AM/FM tuning.. Which is pretty cool.. It shows the channel as example." 99.125" and can be fine tuned by 1/4 channeling.. Within the first 5 minutes I had already noticed alot more stations that factory would not even pick up on my car..And really spent the first day having fun learning everything with the remote.. The station programming is instanteanous.. What I mean by this is,Setting the remote for the stations and pick any and it's like instant channeling.. If it was any faster it would be psychic..Just very noticeable how fast it is..
From what I can tell,the unit itself is basically several individual units in one.. In other words, it shuts off radio, to go to dvd, mp3, or cd player, and then tv tuner shuts off everything else and then line in shuts off everythingelse to get to it's destination. Like a computer with two different forms of software, linux and xp.. Switching from one to the other.. If this gives you any idea what I mean..Only small complaint would be not being able to get to bass and treble settings under the cd, dvd,mp3 settings..Just seems a little odd to shut this option off in these areas.. But truly the only complaint that I have..
The remote is NOT the one that is pictured on the internet.And at first glance was a little disappointed, but believe me after closer observation of the one pictured, it's best that they used the other.. Many more options and buttons.. And is the typical credit card remote..And simple to memmorize where all buttons are located even at night..After usuage, certain that I like this one better than the other that I thought that I was getting.
The color of the unit is NOT silver or grey with black on it..It is black entirely and lights up with a blue led light and white under the stop, forward, etc. controls..And looks really nice at night.. Almost like the glow of a newer cell phone with the blue buttons if you've seen them..
I went out on a limb with this one, because ABSOLUTELY noone had this unit anywhere, either installed or even selling it yet on the internet.and no reviews. Only finding one place off of ebay alone.. Where I purchased it for $187. before S&H. Even places advertising it as being sold were not selling it yet..And was a blessing that it was entirely black instead of the grey exterior that is always pictured.. Looks damn good in my car with everythingelse surrounding it in black as well..
I have read a few reviews of OTHER pyle units not playing dvd's back to back.. I have NOT found this to be a problem whatsoever.. On this unit.. I will have the tv tuner antenna in next week.. Ordered one from a fella that highly recommended a certain name brand antenna that he has seen great results with.. So will repost again soon..
BOTTOM LINE..... Where else are you going to find a DVD player, nice remote, nice looking unit altogether,MP3 Player, CD Player, TV TUNER, AM/FM TUNER that is the best tuner that I have seen for $187? My friend has a 7" Panasonic indash dvd, and wishes that he hadn't bought it now because of the find that I have found..
