Pyramid PB781X 2-Channel Car Amp

My brother bought this amp thinking that he got a deal. It said 1000 watts max on the amp. He also had some off brand subs in a box. He had it hooked up to his factory radio in his 1996 Chevy Blazer. When he turned it on, the bass wasn't that loud and it sounded bad. He was playing lil john and bass still didn't hit. He told me he didn't have everything adjusted. So I adjusted the amp for him but it still wasn't loud. It was so weak that the stereo will drown out the bass on some songs. Well that's go to show that you get what you pay for. 1000 watts sound more like 100 watts. Never go off of max watts, go off of rms watts. They only thing good for this amp is to use it to power some front speakers.
