Qualcom palmphone- great idea

Pros palm pilot integration in to a phone that has web access- what a plus
Cons incredibly large
Recommended it? Yes
During the course of all of the major phones companies life, they have put out some sort of fantastic phone. Motorola with its startac series, Nokia with it 9000il series, Ericsson with its yet to come pda equipped phone, Sprint pcs np100, Samsung sch-3500, and now to Qualcomm. This phone, although a little bit bulky, has several different advantages. As well as a few disadvantages.

Some very interesting features about the phone is that it is basically a palm pilot built on top of a phone. It has streaming web integration, with good data transfer rates, not to mention all of the pros that come with a palm pilot.

With this phone, there are definite disadvantages. For one, its like dragging around a huge box in your pocket. Another disadvantage, is that it doesn't have a docking station ports. That means that you aren't able to put any software onto the phone by conventional methods. The only thing that you would get would be the cables that come with it, but take time to install, install that software, find software that is compatable with the phone. If you want a phone that is going to be a pda and a great cell phone in one, then your best bet is to go with the nokia 9000il series. Those phones flip open to a small keyboard that have a slew of great options.

However, if you are looking to get rid of your palm pilot, and old phone, this is the phone for you. If you like bulky its the way to go
