Having 2 children ages 12 and 2, I wanted a camcorder that was easy to use. I had a full size VHS Video Camera, but it was not convenient.
My husband bought me the RCA Autoshot for my birthday. I love it. Since it is small, it is easier to operate and video all those special moments. All you have to do is turn it on and it basically does all the work for you.
You can turn the camcorder on to demo mode to view some of the camcorders features. With the playback feature you can see the tape in the viewfinder. You can also connect the camcorder to your TV or VCR to playback videos.
It has a 22X zoom. You can zoom in and out for close up shots and wide angel shots. It automatically focuses. You can also focus manually.
It uses the small vhs c cassettes. An adapter to view these cassettes is including to view them on a standard vcr.
In the viewfinder you can tell how much tape you have left. It also shows how much of the battery has been used. It has a self timer on it so that you can be in the video also.
The feature I like best is the title feature. You can choose from 8 titles already programmed in, or you can create your own.
It turns itself off after 5 minutes of not using it.
I have only had this camcorder a few months, but I love it. I have had no problems at all. The battery holds its charge longer than the regular size video camera did.
