RCA D52W19 52 in. TV

We bought a RCA 52" big screen TV new at Walmart in 2005. Waited 20 years before I could afford a big screen. The first one was broke when we opened the box. Went back to Walmart that one worked alittle over a year and then would not turn off and on. finally got it to come back on right before holloween and then left it on 24/7.(was affraid to turn it off) Picture got bad before Christmas and shut if off hoping it would reset and hopefully turn back on. WE now have now been trying for 4 hours to get it to come back on. Looks like we got a lemon. Doesn't look like it is worth the repair cost if you could get someone to work on it. I have researched this TV on the internet and the problem seems pretty common. Won't power up. Green power button comes on three times. Then you have to wait or unplug the set and it will do it all again. In the past we have contined to play with in and finally get in on but not this time. It seems to be going into a protection mode something with the power supply possibly. Was told wasn't worth fixing but could be looked at for $50. But with the picture going bad and the power supply problem probally will just chunk it. I will purchase an extended warranty next time. I'm not sure about all of RCA products I picked this TV because of the name but this model 52" TV D52W19 big screen will not work very long.
