Pros ID3 tag support, good sound, nice looking display with lots of information.
Cons Short battery life, and basically, it rarely works

Pros Cheap, matrix display
Cons power hungry, bad player for normal and MP3 CDs

In comparison with the Exonion this RCA/Phillips MP3 CD player is really miserable. Not only must you pay special extra attention in burning perfect MP3 CDs but, even then, it sometimes just cannot cope with the decoding. Pros It looks nice, solid construction.
Cons it does not work with MP3 format.
Recommended it? No

Okay, it plays CDs, but what 45 dollar CD player does not? I skips madly on MP3s and there is no way to change skip protection. The manual states that this is a menu feature, but the engineers apparently forgot to add this to the design. :( It is a major disappointment.

I bought this thinking it would be convenient since it plays CDs with regular audio and mp3s. I regret getting this product.

Pros Big display. Plays CD-RWs, good sound, recharges batteries when on AC adapter.
Cons Skips waaay too often. Playback problems galore. Completely unportable. Freezes,...

I got this CD-MP3 player for Christmas 2001, and have been using it on and off since. I was initially very excited, almost gave away my Sony CD player thinking that RCA RP2410 was all I'd need.

Pros Great Sound, large 5-line LCD Display, built-in NiCad charger
Cons extremely prone to skip, poor skip protection, short battery life

The RCA RP2410 was my second attempt at a combined CD/MP3 player, and while it fared considerably better in my tests, it was not quite strong enough to satisfy me.

Pros Good sound quality, decent user interface
Cons bulky size, very fragile, bad anti-skip protection

I bought the RP2410 when I found it in an electronics store ad for about 140 dollars (about $100 off retail price). Judging by other's opinions on the product, I thought it would be perfect. If the cd player was 250 dollars on retail, I couldn't pass up on this offer. I wish I had.

Pros Plays CDs and MP3s on CD.
Cons Controls are somewhat awkward. Prone to skips and other problems.

I purchased my RCA MP3/CD player about two years ago and for about a year it worked like a charm. Regular audio CDs and CDs with MP3 files played beautifully.
