Audiovox RS2001 CD Audio Shelf System

I was very pleased with the look, features and sound of the RCA RS2001 bookshelf stereo system, when I first bought it. However, that faded quickly when I discovered that my unit "skipped" after playing a few CD's in a row. I tried several diiferent CD's and they did the same thing. The longer I used it, the worse the problem got. I exchanged the unit and the second unit did the same thing. The 2nd weekend we used the replacement unit the skipping started again. I am very disappointed with RCA and Radio Shack, were I bought it. Since I bought it as a Christmas present and it has taken more than 30 days to reach this conclusion, I am facing an uphill battle to get my money back or a different stereo unit.
