I received the RCA VR552 as a Christmas present. It was fairly simple to hook-up to the TV and Cable lines. I popped in my favorite video and watched as the video played. There was no annoying lines and the auto-tracking adjusted automatically so there was no need for me to adjust it myself. One of my favorite things about this VCR is that VCR-Plus is included with it. VCR-Plus is the tool that you use to record shows when you are not going to be home at the time of the show. You put in the number of the show from your local television guide and leave the VCR and TV on and the rest is done by the VCR.
Another great feature is the commercial advance. During playback of a tape you recorded, the VCR automatically skips the commercials and goes to the movie or show again. Movie advance is also a great feature because it can either go to the start of the previews or to the start of the movie in a click of a button.
This VCR is a great tool for someone who is in need of an update for there VCR. It is easy to use, and comes with everything you need.
