RCA VR636HF VHS VCR

RCA proves that it still knows all about the A/V industry with their latest VCR's While i got mine as a factory refurb, i still thoroughly enjoy all of this machine's features. Picture quality is superb, as well as audio. The menus, aranged with corresponding numbers is a vast improvement over simply using the 'program' or 'menu' and other various controls. The remote's glow button feature is a great thing for times when you are watching the tube in the dark, and you want to change the channel or turn down the volume so you dont wake everyone else in the house. Maybe it is just me, but the only thing that has given me trouble is the front A/V jacks... i can use the rear ones fine, but i must not have the settings adjusted properly to use the ones on the front. not a big drawback, though because my vcr is fairly easy to access from the rear. The only other complaint is the amber display. While in all actuality, its not that bad, the past couple of VCRs i have owned have been greenish blue displays, which seem to be easier to read in the dark, especially from a distance. But that is a personal opinion not related to the performance of this fantastic machine. If you are searching for a good VCR without breaking the bank, this machine is a great pick. I know i would buy one again in a second if i had to do it over again.
