Pros VCR Plus feature, "Remembers" things after power failure
Cons Motor burned out - deceased!
Recommended it? Yes

Well, we finally decided to put the death certificate on our RCA VR639HF Hi-Fi VCR yesterday to have it rest in pieces in the trash compactor in front of our complex. After 2 1/2 years of almost daily operation, the motor in this unit just decided to die and work no more.

However, until... Read full review »

Cons None
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this VCR for my birthday two years ago. It cost roughly around 130 dollars at a nearby electronics store. Right from the time I opened up the box it came in, I knew this VCR would last me quite some time.

Pros Many features, low price
Cons Can't find any at this price.
Recommended it? Yes

I've been buying VCRs for 20 years, beginning with an RCA that weighed as much as a boat anchor, had 2 heads, a wired remote, a few features, and cost about $700. I just bought the VR639HF for $129.99 at K-Mart and it has many more features, better picture, and great bells and whistles.

Recommended it? No

I just bought my second VCR, the first one was an RCA for $529.00 back in 1987. We had it fixed once and only had trouble with it that one time up until a month ago and the color went out of the videos when we tried to play them. They were in black and white. So off I go to get a new VCR and... Read full review »
