Pros Great sound, strong build quality, full-featured, easy to operate, amazingly low price
Cons Limited DSP modes, somewhat limited remote control, on-screen display abbreviations
Recommended it? Yes

As a college student and avid music listener, I was looking for a quality surround-sound audio/video receiver that wouldn't break the bank. After much comparison shopping, I came across the Sherwood RD-6500. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to buy this receiver due to its insanely low price, but I... Read full review »

Pros great sound quality, excellent surround effect
Cons no remote button to switch between digital connections

Pros Great sound from every channel.
Cons fm channel storage sucks. direct tone control seems useless.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought one of these units about 6 years ago and it's still going strong. It's very well built with it's descrete amps making it heavy which speaks well of it's quality and sound. It took awhile to get comfortable with its controls and tuning in fm channels and storing them is cumbersome and if... Read full review »
