Not what I expected

Pros lots of options, durable
Cons low reception, numbers on keypad somewhat hard to find
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  This is easy to use, and a great tool to have on hand at all times.
I bought two blackberrys about a year ago. I paid about $150 for both phones on eBay. The phone came with two cords. One was to connect to a computer, and the other was for the charger. The charger has different travel charger adapters for charging out of the country. It also came with a very handy holster with a swivel belt clip and a desktop software CD. I never installed the CD or connected my phone to a computer, so I am not sure how that works.

This is good for text messaging, as it has a full keyboard. It is nice because you don't have to push the same button multiple times to get to one letter like you do on a lot of other cell phones.

I did not like the way you have to dial. The numbers are not in an easy to locate by touch place. They are on the left side of the keyboard, almost all the way to the left of the keyboard, and these keys feel the same as the rest of the keys. It made it harder to dial the number unless it had your full attention.

The phone book was much more detailed than any other cell phone's phone book that I have used. It enters the first and last name separate and offers one entry with home phone, cell phone, work phone, address, email, birthday, etc. It is like a one stop place to enter in any information you may know about any one person you know.

The planner is helpful for a portable date planner. Since I always have my phone, I always knew what I was doing on any day at a glance. It is not hard to enter in a new entry with the full keyboard.

You can write your self a memo or a note. This feature is nice because you never know when you may need to write something down and don't have a pen and paper, and chances are you won't lose this as easy as you may a note on a piece of scrap paper.

As with other phones, this has adjustable volume, vibrate, and different ring tones to choose from. It didn't come with a very good selection of ring tones though, and none of them were normal rings.

There are about four games included, and a calculator that comes in handy at times. You can also lock the keyboard. This is nice because if you are not using the holster it is easy to bump buttons and call someone while your phone is in your pocket.

My biggest problem with this phone was reception. I suspect if it was used in a bigger town with more towers nearby, it would get great service and be a good phone to someone. I only got two to three bars of service at best.

We have went through about seven phones in the last year, and this one held up through it all. It is very durable and hard to break.
