About three months ago I upgraded my Blackberry 8703e and got this excellent Blackberry 8830 World Edition. Now I have used Blackberry devices for a while and would never go back to just regular phones or even other PDA devices. I guess the saying "once you go 'crack', you never go back" applies... Cons no camera, keyboard backlighting fairly useless

I'm carrying a BlackBerry® now: I guess that means I've finally joined the real techie generation. And it's not an everyday BlackBerry like I see the college kids using on the plane (in full defiance of the FAA, I might add); it's a - gasp! - BlackBerry 8830 World Edition. Now that I work for a... I have been a Blackberry user since the the 7230 and moved my way to a 8130 Curve and most recently an 8830 (in Fall of 2008) out of necessity from my provider - Verizon wireless.

The move from AT&T to Verizon was required for coverage reasons as I travel between US and Canada and Verizon... Read full review »

We are small business owners- a husband and wife team. For a couple of years we had cell phone plans that would share minutes.  However we always seemed to have a different phone.  In addition to a cell phone each there was one older Blackberry between the two of us which we used when we traveled... Cons Many glitches such as frozen screens, buttons don't work. No camera.

So, this was my first blackberry I've ever gotten. I was intimidated by all the buttons and options that were available, but eventually overcome that fear and started messing around with it. Within the first year however, the middle scrolling button started to not work. I was able to scroll up and... Read full review »

Doing What A BlackBerry Does Best

Pros Sleek design, solid email client, usable trackball, good battery life
Cons Doesn't feel as good as it looks; mushy and closely spaced keys
Recommended it? Yes

After being assigned a BlackBerry 8703e for about a year, my IT department replaced it with a newer model, the BlackBerry 8830. It wasn't because I needed the world-roaming capability of the 8830. It just happened to be the new model that they had standardized on.

Out-of-the-Box... Read full review »

Pros Screen is big and bright
Cons Phone turns off "radio" when low on power, typing is aggravating

I was issued this unit by my employer.  My current plan is data only, however I also have used it as a phone.  I was excited to have it, at first, but have since become really unhappy with it.

Overall ease of use is not that good.  The keyboard is frustrating to use.  From keys that seem... Read full review »

This cellphone is great, if you need a brick. The design is awful, there is more cons than pros, and frankly, this cell phone is AWFUL! The large screen is good if you are old or watching videos, or for any Internet use. The Internet use on this phone is very difficult and frustrating, because it... Read full review »

Pros Great Design, Compact

I have this phone for work.  It's an ok phone.  The internet connection is good and the quality of the calls is good.  My main complaint is that it freezes and I have to take the battery out to get it to reset.  This happens every couple of weeks.  I don't use it very much... Read full review »
