The Bottom Line:
If your an Alltel customer this phone is as good as it gets for now.
First off let me state that I am an Alltel customer and that this is my third smart phone. My other two smart phones were made by HTC PPC-8700 and PPC-6800 "Mogul Titan"and ran windows mobile. Compared to those phones this device is simply out of this world. Why? Because it simply acts like a smart phone should act and most importantly it doesn't lock up and it is fast. I know other phones may smoke this on in regards to speed but this is way faster than the PPC-6800 is even after a fresh reboot. One thing I really like about the blackberry is that it is ALWAYS on line. You don't have to tell it to dial or to hang-up. This makes it's approach to the Internet completely different than it's cousin's that run windows mobile. Nobody pushed me into this phone and I must say that right now it is the best phone that Alltel offers in my opinion. As far as the Blackberry desktop software is concerned I am similarly impressed with it as well. Why you ask? Well, because RIM provides support for its software to communicate with Novell Groupwise which as much as it hurts me to say it, isn't the most popular e-mail system out there. Even though I think it should be. I have my blackberry set to sync with my google apps for domains account and this works flawlessly. It pulls in my e-mail, contacts, and appointments.
