The Bottom Line:
Good choice if you are looking for an elegant and functional phone and you are on a budget.
The Curve is definitely a good looking one.
It's well proportioned, elegant and compared to more expensive blackberries it's less bulky, which to me it's very important. In this price range it's likely one of the best designed mobile phones you can buy.
If you use your mobile essentially for calls and texting, the curve will do. The menus are clear and well organized, less crowded then in other models. The Blackberry instant messaging service (IM) will also give you free messages to other IM users ( only to Blackberry).
If, however, you are looking for advanced functionalities available in other models from RIC you might be disappointed. In order to keep the price down RIC has eliminated 2 key functions that have made its phones popular: GPS and Wifi.
While I don't quite miss Wifi, I do find myself wishing my curve had a GPS included. It's true you can connect to google maps through the internet, but it's not really the same in terms of functionality. Plus the relatively small screen doesn’t help to use maps.
Summing up, it is a very good phone, for business and general users, but know what you are getting before you buy it.
