small & versatile

Pros small, easily adaptable for home use or boom box
Cons antenna goes bad
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I would buy it, just save your reciept and try to get the antenna exchanged at the merchant you bought it from, I deal with BB
I really like my roady as its something i can take everywhere.I like the idea of being able to go from my car, to my work truck,to my home stereo & even to a set of computer speakers which makes it into a homemade boombox. To use it at home you need a power adapter(easily bought at radio shack) & a Y jack to go into your stereo then run it into the input of your roady.
I really like being able to listen to favorite stations at home and on the weekends. I also enjoy taking this with me at work, and putting it my work truck. I also have made up a boombox using computer speakers & power adapter. I usually have this set up when I'm waxing the vehicle or working in the yard.Just to clarify I have a roady II however its basically the same as the roady just a couple changes. The roady II has a built in FM transmitter & its a lil smaller in size.I like being able to change the colors on it. I also like all the memory that it has. Its broke down in a ABC banks so I can dedicate certain channels to my liking.
XM radio has some really good programming and its the cheapest satellite radio on the market. If you can't find a channel that you like on XM radio then you have problems. I mean they have such an extensive channel I have not listened to half the channels offered. My vehicle has sirius also though and there channels are really good. In fact I wish XM had an outlaw channel like sirius. My vote would go for XM though because of a larger channel database & its cheaper & they have a better selection of versatile receivers.
There is 1 downside that I want you to be aware of and because of this I cannot give them 5 stars. There antenna seems to short out where the antenna jack plugs into the radio at. In the last 2 years I have replaced 3 antennas so far, because of this short i the jack.My last antenna I was very careful with it as I knew it had a potential problem, and it only lasted me 6 months before it shorted out on me.XM engineers really need to work on this because its a big hassle to getting this replaced. Well I hope you all enjoy this review and that it was some help.
Peace
