I'm glad I bought this. I really think this is a great value. I would buy it again if it got stolen.
I bought this head unit hoping for decent speaker amplification (since I don't want to install an additional amp) and good MP3 support. I have to say I haven't been disappointed!
First of all, the MP3 functionality is great. I really am happy with the ability to play 190 near-CD-quality songs from a single CD. With my CD Burner, I'm able to put 9 to 11 full albums on one CD-R. I bought this because I knew i wouldn't have to burn dozens of CDs to have my collection portable. I've been so happy with the selection on my first MP3 Cd, I haven't made another! I've had this for almost a year now!
The sound quality is actually pretty good. I didn't expect a whole lot from a head unit in this price range that was an MP3 player. I figured I'd end up putting in another amplifier. Not anymore! I enjoy good quality music all the time now. You have NO clue how much this head unit will improve the sound in your car when replacing the factory stereo!
My one complaint is the volume button. It seems like its a little loose. I can move it a millimeter or two without it actually changing the setting/volume. Not a big deal, but the only thing that I could think of that bothers me!
I think this is a great deal for the money. It won't play pretty screensavers like the high end players, but I love it. I would recommend this to my mother!
