Great MP3 Searching, price and sound.

Paint flakes off on dial, shuffle is below average.

The Bottom Line:
For the cost, excellent sound, way above average MP3 search (required if you have several hundered MP3's on one CD.)
Pros -
*Partial name MP3 Searching
*Name searching is intelligent. You enter search mode, turn the dial to find the letter, press the dial to go to the next character, press enter when you are ready to start search.
*Full MP3 scrolling Name display
*Excellent sound
*User configurable power on volume level
independant CD/Radio equalizer settings
*The only unit I could find at this price that had a partial name search
Cons -
*Switching between CD and radio will active power antennas.
*Volume is digital and the is a large dB difference between some of the clicks.
*Only Supports MP3's
*Silver on dial flakes off with heavy use.
*Shuffle mode repeats more than I would have expected.
Over all I highly recommend this unit. I have had this deck for several months and it has been excellent. What really sold me was the fact that I could search for MP3's without having to take my eyes off of the road constantly by counting the clicks of the dial when I'm entering the letters and quickly glancing down occasionally to verify that I have the right letter.
The only thing I do not like about this unit is the fact that the shuffle mode appears to be pseudo random and does not avoid re-playing the same songs. But this seems to be standard for the industry.
