The Bottom Line:
Do not recommend it because the display is very dull and the graphic equalizer display is tied to the volume and does not move even at 30% max volume.
The unit looks good and has MP3 play back at a reasonable price, which is why I bought it ($200 + installation + installation parts etc = $280).
All the features are good and easy to use, AM/FM radio is pretty much what you get with most other units. MP3 is why I bought this unit and it reads folders and displays the file names in the scrolling display.
Installation by a local professional was pretty smooth in my 2003 Honda Odyssey. The first thing I asked him when he connected the power supply was that the display was very dull. He said the contrast could be changed, and it did appear better after I set it to highest level.
The problem was that even at that level, it is very dull during the day, but it looks good during night. Does not help me much because less than 20% of my driving is at night.
Also, during day or night, the only people who can see anything on the display is the ones in the front seat. The Odyssey dash is at a slight incline and this causes 0 visibility of the display for the 2nd and 3rd seat passengers.
The angle is also one of the reasons that the display is dull during the day.
The graphic equalizer display which is basically the volume lines on the display moving per the beats of the music does not move at all even at 30% of the max volume. So, in my case it is a waste.
My suggestion to you, pay special attention to the display when you buy this or any other car source units.
