This is the first receiver unit I had for XM. I am getting the MyFi and a Roadie 2 as I write this. The unit it easy to use and is a good investment for the first time use.
I got mine and had Circit City hard wire it with an FM Modulator in my F150 and it works great. I did buy an aftermarket steel mount that worked ALOT better than the supplied sticky tape.
The unit has no trouble getting the stations in cities. Only a few dead spots while I was camping but it was easily overcome. I also have the 2nd Gen. Boombox that I LOVE! Not only do I get XM, you flip the unit and now you have AM/FM and CD but it will also play MP3s with no problems at all.
The only thing I did not like was the backlit display is hard to see on really sunny days but you can adjust the unit's position to kill the glare. At night it really stands out with no problems at all.
