The Bottom Line:
This reception is terrible I would not recommend this product to anyone!
I'm a long distance runner, I run 5 miles a day and it gets very boring. So I bought the Sony portable radio since it is hands free and I liked the design. When I got home I was so excited, I ripped it out of the package and tried to turn it on and well there was a screen but no sound. I looked in the manual to find out if there were any tips like most manuals have if there is a problem with a function.I found out that it was a lock button malfunction. The buttons were on lock and the switch to make the radio go to unlock was broken! How convenient, there that run went! I returned it to the store and got another one. Same thing, came home ripped it out of the package and was going to finally go for my run and I turn it on and everything was working but all I heard was static! I tried my two favorite radio stations KAT Country 103.3 and 95.1 and it was pure static. I then tried B93.1 and got a little bit of reception in certain places of my house. I figured I would go try it out on my run. When I run I run the same area over and over eight times. On the last half of that area it is pure static. So I have reception the first half of each lap but not the last lap. It is very frustrating. I do like the design of this product and I like how it straps to your arm and I really enjoy using the stopwatch. Other than these few things this radio is terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone.
