tough phone
Pros
Qwerty keyboard, good sound, long lasting battery, keyboard is unique with changing keys.
Cons
texting send key is close to typing keys, many times text sent without wanting to.

I recommend this phone to anyone looking for a non PDA with a qwerty keyboard. This phone works well for all text and internet functions outside of PDA technology.
This phone has been dropped many many times and still works without any problems. Some initial design problems. Phone has small cracks in screen still works good. I would recommend this phone above most qwerty non smart phones. phone is still good for many smartphone type uses. After using phone for some time, was wishing had bigger phone.
I originally purchased phone to have qwerty with clam style phone. This phone is excellent for that purpose. Obviously, this phone does not have the same extras as newer smartphones or PDA's.
The Samsung Alias is a one of a kind phone, and shows the creative minds behind Samsungs product development. I have used phones from several other producers, and have found Samsung to be in the top three in comparison with other cell phone proiducers. Samsung delivers a reliable product. Samsung builds products with all the extras any other cell phone company offers, but their phones are consistently built better.
When I shop for cell phones or PDA's, I usually look at Samsung first to see what they are offering. We are using another Samsung phone with a qwerty keyboard and touch screen as well. This phone has also held up to any abuse it has recieved.
I would like to see Samsung build an Alias style phone bigger. Something similar to Blackberries Pearl calm style phone. I think the clam style phones are better protected. Overall I strongly recommend anyone looking for a new cell phone to shop Samsungs before other brands.
