The Bottom Line:
IF you've got the touchscreen blues, go get it; its completely functional
Touch screen phones are THE way to go now. Unfortunately, Apple isn't ready to hand out iPhones out to competing companies, but it doesn't mean T-Mobile customers can't have fun with their fingers either.
I got the Samsung Behold in the expresso color, and I haven't looked back. The profile is reversed in comparison to the iPhone; thickness is offset by the overall width, making it easy to get your hands around and carry.
In my opinion, the screen is near perfection, compact enough without sacrificing quality as it displays vibrant colors, and unlike the iPhone, it reacts to gloved fingers, making the use of a regular stylus possible. This is a plus and minus, for when you forget to lock the screen, you may accidentally call another country, but a feedback option lets you type as fast as muscle memory permits.
The widget options are limited, but fun. Available GPS through Telenav and other easy access icons make full use of the screen, and the ability to hide the sidebar lets you enjoy your latest wallpaper. Lets not forget the speed of the network. T-Mobiles 3G may still be inhabited by fleeing government officials, but depending on where you are, it is still comparably fast to the EDGE network.
Overall, it is an amazing phone with only a few minor imperfections. It may not be as flashy, and the MSRP may leave your pockets near empty, but it definitely gets the job done. I recommend this nifty little knockout to any mobile enthusiast.
