The largest I could find without exceeding some incredible pricing.

Pros It is large and clear, easy to set up and comes with a base attached.
Cons It is heavy and a little pricey.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If you want a large TV that will bend the bank. but not break it, go for this one.
It is, as you expect, big. My living room is exceptionally large, and the 45 inch Sharp Aquos LCD, although adequate in almost every way, seemed lost in one corner of the room. The solution was simple; buy a larger TV and move the smaller one to the bedroom. I ruled out the projection and background projection for various personal dislikes and then rejected a larger LCD when the price tag exceeded $10K. This left little to choose from in the 60+ plasmas.
The picture quality among the contenders was almost identical, at least to my aging eyes, so I settled for the 63 inch Samsung FP -T6374 plasma since it came with a stand attached. A stand or mount would have added close to another thousand dollars to the cost of a competing brand so the nod went to Samsung.
Setup is simple once you get it on a table or stand capable of holding the beast. Getting it up on the table is not so simple. The monster weighs in at somewhere about 200 lbs. and it is an awkward shape to lift. Don't count on you and the wife heaving it up on the table. Tip the delivery guy well and let him do it, or spring for a case of beer and invite a few of your stronger friends over to do the dirty work.
The setup and adjustments are so simple that even a caveman could do it.
My only complaint is that the picture, contrary to the manufacturer's assertion that it is bright enough for a well lighted environment, seems washed out when viewing on a bright Florida day with the blinds up. However, as evening approaches, or you draw the blinds, you will enjoy a nice, large. clear and satisfying picture.
I suggest resisting the temptation to cure the brightness shortcoming by adjusting to settings to close to maximum intensity because, face it, plasmas will sustain "burn in" if you push the controls too far. Samsung claims to minimize the problem with some new pixel shift technology, but I'm not the one to test out the new theory on my latest expensive toy.
The unit draws more current than the large size LCDs and is quite warm to the touch, but I understand that this is this is normal for all plasmas. There are additional audio and video inputs on the side of the unit for easy connection to a digital camera or camcorder, handy to say the least when it sits on its own base and I would guess a real requirement if mounted on a wall rack.
In short, the TV is quite satisfactory and does meet all the claims made by the manufacturer with the one brightness exception noted.
