Buyer Beware!!!
Pros
Good upgrade of NTSC. Good remote control. Easy to setup TV. Good picture.
Cons
Poor customer care. Poor availability of repair parts. Poor reliability. No product recall program.

The Bottom Line:
Do not buy - fatal quality problem that cannot be repaired, and Samsung demonstrated poor concern for the customer.
This HDTV includes a built-in off-air ATSC tuner. It gets a superb picture with an amplified antenna. It also improves standard definition pictures better than most other large screen HDTV's.
Unfortunately, this HDTV apparently has a fatal design flaw. After six months, mine suddenly would not power up. Over the past six weeks, the service tech has made three trips to my house to attempt to repair the problem. After his second visit, and after waiting two weeks to receive a replacement board that had to be fabricated in Korea, the TV worked normally for about two weeks.
On his third visit, he gave up, saying there is nothing he can do to make it work.
Samsung has not offered a replacement product of equal or better value in my opinion. Samsung reps have not demonstrated any sense of urgency in processing whatever approval is needed to provide me with a replacement television. They offered to eventually provide me with a 52" HDTV monitor and a set top converter box, but they only offered to extend the warranty of this replacement set three months past my original purchase date. If this replacement set failed after six months with the same problem, I'd have no warranty coverage.
I will have to transport the broken set back to the store and get a refund. I don't think I'll ever buy anything else made by this company.
