I'm happy with it!
Pros
Crisp clear picture... very easy set up!!
Cons
Viewing angle could be better, no built-in TV guide.
Recommended it?
Yes
sdanville, sorry you are having so many problems with yours, but I'm very happy with mine! HD as well as DVD's look fantastic, and even SD and analog channels look pretty decent too!
I didn't bother labeling all the channels... I think that's a little anal retentive, but that's besides the point. It's a great TV, although the other HLR models include a built-in TV guide, the 42" doesn't, however. Aside from that, I wouldn't pay more than $1300 for it ( which is what I paid, you can probably find it for about that much online now, if you know how to look).
The only thing I'm not crazy about is the viewing angle, horizontal is not too bad, I guess comparable to most DLP's, but the vertical angle kinda sucks... it's set up about 8 feet from my couch which I have centered on it, but once I get up or sit at a love seat off to the side, it doesn't look as bright and crisp as sitting directly across from it...
all in all, still a very good TV, and I would definitely recommend it (for around $1300)!
