HLT5687 Good TV- Poor Service
Pros
Great color and clarity of TV. Good selection of inputs/outputs.
Cons
Very poor customer service and lack of information available on led engine.
Recommended it?
Yes
I purchased my HLT5687 in May 2008. Since the day I picked it up it has not turned on properly. It had been shipped to the area I live as I am in a remote location. The TV will cycle through 3 times and then show the 3 front flashing lights of doom! I have to have it cycle 3-5 times before I get a picture. The picture and TV are great. Good color and viewing.
I called Samsung and provided the details to the issues with TV. I had to call back 4 more times for them to get the information right as they continually ignored the problem and worse, did not even take down the information I provided. I had to finally find a repair person in the area and provide them with this information. It ended up that the repair person has now ignored me for the last month and I was required to call Samsung once again.
Well I have another repair person that Samsung contacted and he seems to know little of these TV's as he repairs computers for a living.
Amazing that Samsung still sells products with this customer service.
