Pros High quality TV for watching movies, playing XBOX and PC(!) games, and surfing the Web.
Cons Expensive. Remote a little confusing to use. See Important Updates.

Pros Brightness, Picture Quality, Colors, Viewing Angle, light weight
Cons None, except that I wish it came out 10 years ago.
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased my Samsung a few weeks ago and had a difficult time comparing it to the Sony Wega and the Philips LCOS. However, I had the opportunity to compare the units side by side and it was no question. The other two are great TV's but side by side they could not stand up.

Pros Excellent picture. Sharper and brighter than plasma. 3 year warranty.
Cons Audio/video synchronization problem.
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased the Samsung Set after reading Jaymend's article. My set was manufactured in November 2003. The picture is excellent from both the Samsung 931 DVD player and my Bell Express Vu Satellite receiver (with PVR). However, this set suffers from the exact same audio/video synchronization...
