Pros Outstanding picture in HD, Numerous inputs, User-changeable bulb, Impressive design
Cons Big and bulky, Non-HD picture shows shortcomings of low-res, No 6500K color temp setting
Recommended it? Yes

I did fairly extensive online research to determine that Samsung makes the best DLP TVs on the market. I chose this model, basically, because it was as high up the hierarchy as my budget would allow. Because of the pedestal, it definitely takes 2 people to get it into the house. I can slide it... Read full review »

Recommended it? Yes

I have to say this first, this TV is awesome.
There are many great features so let's start there.

The TV uses the latest DLP chipset. It's one of the clearest and most crisp displays I've seen. I like it better than Plasma because the color will not fade overtime. I like it better... Read full review »

Pros 4th generation Light engine. Cool Star Trek design
Cons Can't hang it on the wall but who cares!
Recommended it? Yes

This is the ultimate in DLP TV. Forget about plasma because this is everything you can want in a big screen home entertainment system without the burn effects common to plasma TVs. Unlike plasma you can replace the DLP lamp after 5000 hours or so for around $200. The ultra slim design gives you all... Read full review »

Pros Visually stunning; great picture quality. Appears to float in the air in a darkened room.
Cons Need the Samsung component rack that is made for this set because of the pedistal.
Recommended it? Yes

This is the same as the 50" model... just larger

Delivered in a large box on a wooden pallet... about 240 lbs. so make sure you can handle it if there is only one delivery person.

Plugged it into the wall and connected the Direct TV line and it played great. The manual is pretty... Read full review »

Sleek design with a great picture that puts LCDs to shame.

Pros Great color, than plasma, no burn-in. Brighter than LCD with better black level.
Cons Speakers on set are weak. The glass bottom of the stand makes me nervous.
Recommended it? Yes

The picture quality was better once I got it at home than when I saw it in the store. Yeah, a bit pricey but at least I don't have to worry about a "burn in" issue as with other large screen sets. The color is really excellent which surprised me. The blacks are strong, the white bright but don't... Read full review »

Pros NONE!!!
Cons Ever trusting this company to stand behind their products!!!
Recommended it? No

Mine lasted 2 years and two months (how convenient for Samsung) until the DMD board failed. Samsung would do nothing to help cover the $900.00 repair cost! What a waist of $3000.00!!!

Now it just sits in the corner of my bedroom as an expensive reminder to never purchase any Samsung products... Read full review »
