Yes
The Bottom Line:
Overall, I love my system and we enjoy watching movies even more. The futuristic styling, ease of use, and performance makes this a purchase that you will not regret!
The HT-X710T is loaded with features and is every thing I expected when I purchased it.
First, it matches wonderfully with my TOC 46A750, comes with the receiver, two speakers and a subwoofer. The Samsung AnyNet functionality is pretty neat - so when you pop in a DVD, the TV turns on automatically. Although a bit frustrating, as this does the same thing if you put in a CD.
Second, this is LOADED with features - DVD player (which upscales to 1080p with HDMI cable), CD player, handles almost any type of format that is on disc, FM stereo, and Blue Tooth capabilities. The Blue Tooth is pretty wild, as once hooked up, I can stream audio files from my PC and listen to them through the speakers! Neat functionality unless you like burning numerous discs!!
Lastly, the sound is excellent! When watching a DVD, it is hard to remember that this is only a 2.1 system. I have the two speakers on the floor, the subwoofer next to them, and the sound is extraordinary at only 1/2 power! My living room is roughly 14 x 16 and I have cathederal ceilings. The sound just fills the room!!
Even though the system is only 400W, that is enough, trust me. The system is easy to use and I have not had any problem with it. I have four children and all of them can operate this unit with ease.
Cons - a few minor, but need to be noted...
1) to get the full use of this unit, it must be placed on it's side - which is where the readout is. If placed like most other entertainment systems, it works just the same, but you cannot see the readout. To me, you need to see the readout so you know what the system is doing and what mode it is in. I have mine placed on it's side, but it does take up considerably more room.
2) the subwoofer is massive...tough to find a space for it.
3) dust magnet - keep a swiffer handy.
