Pros Great Value, Great Features, Easy To Use
Cons Some Bugs, Web Browser Could Be Better
Recommended it? Yes

I’m in love with my instinct phone. Unfortunately, it’s not because it’s the best touch-screen competitor out there, but because of the old, clunky flip phone I had before. But it is cool, none-the-less.  Let me tell you that this review is not an instruction manual, but a synopsis of cool features... Read full review »

Pros came with an extra battery AND charger! It powers on? jury's out on that one...
Cons only 15 words? See bottom of review!

I remember the day that I first got this phone.  I liked it, but I still missed my Palm Centro.  The main reason I got this phone was the ad campaign, plain and simple, I'm not even gonna lie.  The other reason I got the phone is because my palm centro DID NOT have a GPS built... Love it and hate it

Pros Durable, cheap, features
Cons Low Battery Life, web, camera and video quality

I have a love and hate relationship with my Samsung Instinct. Before purchasing my Instinct, I was never a cell phone guru. I've always owned simple cell phones that you just make calls and text. But recently, I wanted to "up" my game in the mobile phone world. I thought owning a phone like the... Read full review »

Everybody says the iPhone is indeed the best phone in the world, yet it seems like few have seen or used a real one.  And even fewer yet have used both the iphone and the Samsung Instinct, but I have.  A friend of mine has an iPhone and I have the Instinct, and we have had friendly battles about... Should have listened to my 'insticts' and bought an iphone

Pros Easy to use texting via touch keypad
Cons Screen sensitivity changes on its own, ugly, harder to operate while driving
Recommended it? No

While the Samsung Instint has proven itself to be somewhat reliable there are a number of features I have grown to hate:
First and foremost, if you drive & talk, the Instinct is the LAST phone you should use. Many features seemingly require 2 hands to operate.
The screen sensitivity changes... Read full review »

The touch screen freezes sometimes but it does everything I need.

Pros Lock button, able to access GMAIL account, battery life lasts through massive texting
Cons Touch screen freezes up, GPS doesn't work all the time, Web can run slow.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this product because I dropped my phone in a toilet and needed a new phone quick!  Touch screen is all the rage and I was able to get the pink Samsung Instinct at a Sprint store for $40 after all the rebates and renewing a contract (I understand not everyone likes to do this). This... Read full review »

I hate this phone

Pros I cannot think of anything that I like about this phone.
Cons the phone
Recommended it? No

I intensely dislike this phone.  The reasons are that the user interface is simplistic and buggy.  Moreover, it lacks many features and flexibility that you'd expect from a phone that looks like it is supposed to compete with an iPhone.  Here are some specifics:
The user interface has two kinds... Read full review »

For a phone that so obviously tries to imitate the iPhone, it is disapointing

Pros Large screen, sturdy construction
Cons Screen color is very pale, interface overall is unintuitive and annoying in many ways.
Recommended it? No

I had rather high hopes when I first got this phone. With a large screen like that, it seemed that browsing the web and taking/viewing photos would be something the phone would excel at. Also, one would expect that after so many years of development in the cellphone industry it should be impossible... Read full review »

Pretty Good Touchscreen Phone

byraydogg779 Jan 27, 2009
1 Helpfuls 2 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Touch screen looks cool, Sprint Navigation works well, slim profile, comes with spare...
Cons Touch screen implementation needs work, Flipping to the bottom of the contact is tedious
Recommended it? No

I've owned the Instinct for about 1 year now, and it's a good phone - in concept. The touchscreen is relatively responsive, and the tactile feedback is pretty cool. There have been a few bugs in the software, but it looks like Sprint (or Samsung) is still pretty active in producing updates so I'm... Read full review »
